Morning walk
Amidst the dew of early dawn,
I took a morning walk.
And along with me, I took a Friend,
For I felt a need to talk.
I unburdened both my heart and soul,
And spoke many things:
Of plans gone wrong, of failure's pain,
And how to live with shattered dreams.
My Friend just listened quietly,
And uttered not a word.
For it was His time to listen,
And my time to be heard.
His sympathetic ear brought peace,
As we walked this earthly sod.
And I learned to trust life again,
On my morning walk with God.
Poet, Barbara Ray
It been a busy morning around here, getting ready for the weekend, Pool needed clean, Gas Grill also need clean, and a few other things need to be done. Then i made lasagna for lunch and had to do up the dishes, which is one thing i don't like to do, been doing them since i was 10 and still don't have a dish washer lol. I do love to cook but when it comes to those dishes will that another story.
Have granddaughter over night, so she been playing in the sand box and doing some chalk on the side walk, her and are other granddaughter who lives with us really made some cute things but then it started to rain so they had to come in. Hope it don't rain tomorrow for it that time of the week to mow grass. was gone to have the baby and his brother's today for DIL had surgery schedule but the hospital called and they had to cancel for her Blood platelets are way to low this was also a concern when she had the baby so if you could please say a prayer for her that they can fine out why this has happen. Thanks,
We will have a big fourth picnic here we do this every year with fireworks and all, but this year we will be missing the fireworks they are getting way to expenses , so we will have a good game of volley ball and do some other things that the family enjoys Just being together with family is enough for me, Are daughter from down south is on her way up now, she will spend a few day with her hubby family first in another part of PA but will be her on Friday, then are second granddaughter who is 15 (Maggie) will be spending about 6 weeks with us . Looking forward to this time with her Them being so far away we have not spent alot of time with her except for summers so we really enjoy her being with us. It is hard when are chrildren and also grandchildren live so far away, but we have to let them go and hold them up in prayer as they seek God will in there lives.
Will i best get going have to get my hair trim soon, so to each of you have a great week and remember that someone in PA is thinking and praying for you

I love your opening poem.
Sandy that is a great poem you posted!
I know that some will miss the fireworks, but being with family is the important thing! I know you will enjoy having everyone there with you!!!
yeah the fire works are so price6y arent they? I bought a few from the store, but here in Indiana there are several buildings with fire works and every oen trying to lure all the customers.. My daughter is having a coiok out. tons of people, lot are my son in laws relatives, from Bolivia, so that means GREAT dishes... yummmmmmmmm So will check back with you later... just stopped by to say hello.
Dear Sandy:
Loved "Morning Walk" and hearing of all your plans for this weekend plus! Wow, where do you get all the energy? Know what you mean about washing dishes - that's not one of my favorites neither. I like cooking but I'm more of a plain cook. Things taste good they just are as pretty as some folks can make them. Well, except for my chef salad. Now that is sort of fun to see just how pretty I can make it plus it tasting good! We have a quiet 4th - don't like fireworks, too noisy and dangerous and yes, too expensive.
Have fun my friend, Claudette
